I decided to write this down as there are thousands of women out there just like me who want to look good on their holidays or on a Saturday night out. We all try the magazine crash diets which initially work, but then when you start to eat normally again and you pile back on the pounds and hide it behind baggy tops and jumpers.

 

The New Body New You e program (drop a dress size program) has been fantastic for me. I don’t class it as dieting and I am eating more than ever, just healthier. The menus are brilliant and being a fussy eater I can definitely say there is something on there for everyone.

 

I have also joined a manchester boot camp run by Easyfit which I enjoy twice a week. It’s been lovely meeting new people and working out together. Its lots of fun and our trainer is a star as he makes the programmes different so there is no chance of getting bored whilst being very professional  and manages to also make each session enjoyable. There are individual targets and lots of group activities - my favourite was space hopper races!!!

 

In May I ran in the Greater Manchester 10K. I had set my target of one hour which I smashed crossing the finishing line in 53 minutes. The buzz was amazing and I wore my medal all day!  This time last year I would not have even thought about doing something like this and now I have set myself a new goal of finishing a 10K in September in under 50 minutes.

 

My diet before was frozen lasagne, microwave curry, chippy, chocolates, crisps, wine and beer. With my life being so busy and always rushing around, convenience foods were quick and easy. After a stressful day, a bottle of wine or a few beers helped me relax (or so I thought).

 

I think what has helped me this time with the New Body New You e program is the way you receive daily emails and tasks which help keep you motivated. Also eating six times a day you don’t find yourself getting hungry and craving rubbish. I have cut out my drinking during the week and really appreciate my glass of wine on a Saturday night and trust me, after living in Tenerife for 9 years drinking everyday, I believe if I can do it anyone can!!!

 

The first four days were difficult but then when you start getting more energy and look and feel healthier it inspires you to keep going. The New Body New You E program is not a quick fix diet, it’s a life time change but once you start to see the inches go its addictive to keep hitting your goals.

 

I have gone from a size 14/16 to a size 10 and look and feel fantastic. My nails have never been so strong and the bags under my eyes that I thought I had for life have completely disappeared. The hardest thing is planning and preparing your food but once in a routine its easy and becomes part of your daily schedule. There is no way I could go back to that frozen lasagne way of life!
