It is no surprise that Lisa is doing this job as she certainly couldn’t imagine doing anything else. The sense of achievement and satisfaction Lisa gains from helping people test their boundaries while making training varied and fun is immeasurable.

Lisa belongs to that crazy minority of people who actually like exercise. It’s a way of life for her and what a life to live!! It took off when it was noticed she excelled in the playground- running round it that is.

She went on to have a successful time running for the North West mainly in cross country- winning the nationals in 1997/8. Following on from this Lisa enjoyed playing Hockey for her county, attending north centres of excellence and captaining MMU hockey team in 2000. Nowadays you will find her training towards triathlons and playing on her mountain bike on various trails in Wales and the Peak District.

Lisa havs studied many aspect of exercise: from sport science and sports psychology to teaching PE at secondary school level. All of these have developed skills which enable her to work towards the highest professional standards, whilst not forgetting that it’s important to laugh and enjoy life. A simple philosophy Lisa has is that ‘life is too short to do anything other than enjoy it’!!

"When giving up a heavy smoking habit I turned to food for comfort, whilst this helped me curb the cravings I only ended up substituting one habit for another becoming more and more overweight and unhappy with my body.  I spent months going to bed each night promising myself that I would 'definitely go to the gym tomorrow', but when tomorrow came I always had an excuse not to go. 

I started by combining bootcamp with some personal training sessions and whilst I was quite nervous about what lay ahead Lisa immediately put my mind to rest.  We worked on setting some goals and to my amazement I have become more motivated than I have been in years, my fitness levels have improved considerably and my lungs are starting to recover from the effects of smoking - I can't actually believe that Lisa has me running!
