Sam has always had a huge interest in sport performance, fitness, and coaching. His first job was as a children’s athletics coach- where he specialised in disability athletics and performance.
Personal Training was always the likely and logical career choice – experience backed by knowledge and science are indispensible as the health industry gets bigger. He has already helped people achieve their goals, get control of their lives back, perform to their maximum physical capacity, and feel better than ever.
In his own sporting and fitness career, Sam enjoyed Basketball and Athletics at school. He excelled in Athletics – representing Nottinghamshire in the English School’s finals in High Jump, 4x100, and Javelin - an event in which he was dedicated to, and went on to become the 2004 British Champion.
He has also modelled Olympic Weightlifting for the IAAF, and loves any physical challenge. |
Testimonials
"I signed up with Sam about 7 weeks ago and I have nothing but praise for him as a personal trainer who not only is very knowledgeable on his subject, but someone who also has a very professional, approachable manner. In my opinion not only is he very personable but he is also a very good representative for your company.
I know I hassle him far too often about all sorts of things whether it be about gym sessions or food combining, but he always finds time to help and support me.
From my perspective it has been hugely beneficial to work with him, not only am I in much better shape and eating more healthily than before I started but, through the advice, work and encouragement provided by Sam, I have recovered from shoulder rotator cuff repair surgery I had at the end of last year much quicker than I thought possible.
He is well prepared for all the gym sessions and phase changes, and I love his enthusiasm as this makes the sessions really enjoyable (and that’s something I never thought I’d say about going to the gym!).
Having never ventured into the world of a personal trainer before I was quite nervous about working closely with someone in a gym, so it was important for me to feel comfortable with him – and I do. He probably is not aware of it, but he does have good interpersonal skills which I would think are critical for his success in this field of work. His relaxed style puts me at ease, and I feel confident not only with what he is asking me to do in the gym, but also with his recommended changes for my eating pattern.
I liked Sam’s initial approach to me, it was discrete, not at all obtrusive, and I didn’t feel under any pressure to sign up for sessions. But I obviously did and am loving the results.
All I can say is I wish I had known ‘a Sam’ 20 years ago."
